Statistics: Business confidence falls in mining, processing in Dec

MOSCOW, Dec 28 (PRIME) -- The business confidence index in Russia in December fell by 4.3 percentage points in mining and by 7.3 percentage points in the processing industry, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Monday.

“The index of business confidence, reflecting the generalized state of business activity, in December 2020 was: in mining – (-4.3%); in manufacturing – (-7.3%),” the service said.

At the same time, the economic situation in their organization in the field of mining is considered favorable by 9% and satisfactory by 73% of managers, in manufacturing – by 9% and 72%, respectively.

Improvement of the economic situation in the next six months is expected in the field of mining by 17% of respondents, in manufacturing – 22%.
